I’m glad you’re here! Feel free to poke around and get to know me. I’ve been blogging since 2004, so there’s plenty to catch up on!
Currently I reside on the gulf coast of Florida working in full time ministry with some of the most incredible teenagers. I consume lots of coffee, laugh often & think too much. This blog is where I process and put my (sometimes incomplete) thoughts out for the world to read. I pray that the Lord would make sense of my chaos and use these words to encourage your heart.
Please introduce yourself! I met my best friend through this blog and I would love to get to know each one of you, too!
Thanks for stopping by!

I found you through some other blogs I read and I think we should be friends! Ha, is that creepy? Maybe, but I love finding new friends who love Jesus and love youth and are really striving to do what He wants. I want to be that person.
You seem really awesome and a lot like me. I’m pretty jealous of your job– it sounds perfect! Don’t take that for granted. Jesus & music are my two loves as well. I’m glad I ran into your blog! Take care.
I just left a comment on one of your posts, and had to come here to try to figure out where you are (“beautiful tropical location?”) … which you don’t mention, so where are you?
Better yet – we have cinnamon dolce lattes and Burt’s Bees in common too. Getting weird.
You have my blog and email now, I’m lexikate on Twitter. ;)
Congrats on winning the PDYM thingy. You beat me by one! LOL. We’ll see you there.
I am leaving this comment to say hello, but first a confession. I found you by following a twitter recommendation. Which reads a little silly (Jody’s above reference to “creepy” made me grin) but I find I like the authenticity behind it. You see, I read several of your posts and immediately wished I could sit and talk with you over a cup of coffee. In real life we often aren’t bold enough to walk up to a stranger and declare, “I like you, let’s be friends!” Blogging, however, leaves open ended conversations and plenty of room for the unexpected.
All of this to say, I like your thoughts. :)
